The Coral Academy Robotics team was started in 2003 by a group of students who wanted to participate in FIRST robotics competitions. 

Our team members have visited Silicon Valley and Arizona Regional Finals to meet the other team members and exchange ideas for future competitions in 2003. The team got partnership through University of Nevada, Reno, Nevada NASA Space Consortium and some private organizations and corporate in 2004. Our team successfully participated in Silicon Valley Regional in 2004. The team had also a partnership with NASA in 2005.  Coral Robotics participated as the only Northern Nevada Team in the Las Vegas Regionals in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 seasons.

In keeping with this vision, our team will have no boundaries - cultural, geographic, ethnic or otherwise.  It will be made up of exceptionally bright high school students from across the Washoe County.
